The Soldiers are recurring characters in Freedom Planet. They are Avalicians who serve and protect the Three Kingdoms of Avalice: Shang Tu, Shang Mu & Shuigang. They also serve and protect the Island Chain of Parusa.

Shang Tu Soldiers

The Soldiers of Shang Tu serves the Royal Magister, and are led into battle by General Gong and sometimes Neera Li, who leads the STPD. Their species is unknown, due to the face plates, but it's likely they could be various species (such as the Bird Officer), but they mostly wear blue armor and wield spiked riot shields. Also, their armor appears to resemble Water Dragons, as shown by the fish fins on the sides of their helmets.

Shang Mu Soldiers

The Soldiers of Shang Mu serves Mayor Zao, who also leads them into battle. They wear red armor with a light blue visor and wield a blaster and a dagger. They appear to resemble a certain breed of Dogs.

Shuigang Soldiers

The Soldiers of Shuigang served the Former Ruler of said Kingdom before his death, and then his son Dail, who at the time, was brainwashed by Lord Brevon. Their armor and weapons are the same as the Shang Mu soldiers, but colored green and they also resemble a certain breed of Dogs.

Parusa Soldiers

The Soldiers of Parusa hail from the Southern Islands, where they protect and serve the city of Parusa, which may also be the Capital of said Islands. It is currently unknown who the Soldiers are lead by.

In Freedom Planet 2, the Soldiers of the Three Kingdoms will no longer be a Palette Swap. Each Kingdom and Parusa will sport a unique style to match their home region. The Soldiers will also be various different species, instead of just one.
