Shang Mu Academy is an extra level in Freedom Planet, consisting of time-trial target smashing in obstacle courses that are only available in Time Attack mode. It is a dojo that is likely located in Shang Mu (As the name implies). The goal is to break the Targets on each stage as fast as you can while avoiding traps. By completing all eighteen stages, a Target Master achievement is awarded based on the character that completed them.

All characters start with a maximum of three Health Petals during the stages, but some stages reduce the player's health, even to a One-Hit KO.
