Let me bring you up to speed. The name's Corazon! Captain of the Sigwada and Mercenary Extraordinaire! In the flesh.

Corazon Tea is a major character in Freedom Planet 2. She is the older sister of Carol Tea and a self-employed airship pilot, known around Avalice as the "Ace of Flying Aces". She and her crew had been hired by the Final Ember, Merga, to transport troops and supplies with her personal airship, the Sigwada.

Appearance[]

Cory is a yellow-green wildcat with green stripes, yellow eyes and black patches on the tips of her ears and tail; as well as small yellow marks above her eyelashes. Her outfit is a brown and black pilot suit with white fluffs yellow straps, fingerless black gloves and pilot goggles. Cory also wears a gold chain necklace around her neck.

Personality[]

Corazon is energetic and cheerful, and she likes to do her job and so fight with the strongest enemy. She is very fond of her younger sister Carol, but dislikes her sister's terrible puns to the point of running away from her. She sometimes shows to be caring and kind, despite the fact that she began to cooperate with Merga. She also dislike being "tied down" by society's rules, as it prevents her being herself.

Relationships[]

Carol Tea[]

No, Carol. Believe it or not, I'm doing this for you.
- Corazon, assuring Carol that working for Merga was for her sister's own safety

Carol is Cory's younger sister. During the events of the game, Cory tells Carol to stay out of her business, due to her employment to Merga. Despite this, however, Cory is protective of her sister, possibly due to her history of doing work for unsavory clients, and she doesn't want Carol to get hurt as a result of her involvement. However, Cory will fight her sister if she's left no other choice, as Merga also warned her to not let her family affairs interfere with her objective.

Nevertheless, Cory does love her sister very much, in fact, the safety of her family was the very reason for her allegiance to Merga. She proves this love in the Clockwork Arboretum, where she saves Carol from a deadly strike from Merga's Eclipse, almost losing her own life in the process, but was saved by Milla. At the end of the game, while bummed that she had 6 months of community service and the Sigwada is recommissioned to the Parusan Air Force, Cory saw a silver lining: getting to see Carol more often, though she would have to endure her sister's notorious puns.

Merga[]

What?! No, that wasn't the deal! You promised protection!
- Corazon, when Merga orders her to kill her sister, Carol

Corazon and Merga work together for common goals, she does all the work with the rest. She treats Merga as her superior, the relationship between them was stable until Cory had to face her younger sister Carol in battle. Cory doesn't want to fight her sister and Merga tells her to put her down. To which Cory tells Merga that she promised protection, and the fact that this was not in the deal. To which she replies that she can cancel everything or do it personally with her sister. As a result, Corazon has no choice and she is forced to fight against Carol. At the end, Merga is going to kill Carol, which Corazon saves her sister from by taking her hit on herself.

Aaa[]

Let her go! She's off the bandit list. Family Discount.
- Corazon, telling Aaa not to attack her sister Carol

Aaa is a member of Cory's crew, and the Sigwada's chief engineer and Cory's first mate. He is shown to be fiercely loyal to his captain and will do anything to protect her from her enemies, including Cory's sister, Carol.

Abilities[]

As a skilled pilot, Cory is capable of flying her own airship, the Sigwada, which can deploy drone ship to distract the victims while she makes with stolen goods. Along with piloting an airship, she is armed with a dual-barrel pistol and uses steampunk fire as a means of combat. Cory possesses feline instincts and is also quick and agile as Carol, as well as sharing similar abilities with her sister, such as rolling and using Jump Pads.

Trivia[]

  • Corazon's name is derived from the Spanish word "Corazón", which means "Heart".
